ABOUT
Hi my name is Ross McCormack and I’m 28yrs old and I’m working and living in Dublin. I am a keen rugby fan and played to a decent level until about 3 ½ years ago when I sustained a knee injury which meant I was un able to take any physical contact to the knee which ruled out the majority of exercise I got each week. With not being able to train I got lazy and put on about 3st which I have tried to lose over the past 12 months but have been unsuccessful. I have tried swimming / running / normal Gym and none seem to hold my attention. My diet is the not that bad but it is far from good! (A lack of veg in my diet for 28yrs has not helped) meaning dinners of Pasta and potato’s most night. Over the past few years I was also working quite a bit which meant getting home late and eating late! Add all of this together – No training , late dinners of Pasta / potato and there was only going to be 1 result – My weight of 106kgs, Also I’m only 5ft 7in so that not what I would call healthy!!! I’m looking to change all of this – Training habits / eating habits, the lot and get back to a healthy weight. I am also looking to get back playing rugby so I need to up my general fitness levels and conditioning levels and I know that this requires more than just going out and doing laps of a pitch. I am willing to work hard to get the desired results and that is why I have joined Crossfit Ireland.
