NUTRITION CHALLENGE

We are inviting you to take part in the Crossfit Ireland Nutrition Challenge 2010. This is your chance to get the physique you have always dreamed of while having lots of fun and support at the same time. It will be a collective effort with all Crossfitters involved.

Your challenge will kick off with a 60 minute nutrition talk on the 20th of February with Will. He will discuss the how and why of nutrition. This is a excellent chance to learn about food and nutrition from someone that has made the jump and transition personally. We are not looking for everyone to go strict paleo for 40 days but we are looking for people to be accountable for their nutrition and become conscious of what they eat. If you cannot commit to full Paleo or think that it is too much to bite off that is fine, let us know what you can commit to and take a measured approach.

Everyone has the ability to do this, for some it may be dialling in specific elements of their diet for many it could just be making the jump to learning about their nutrition. Whatever your approach we guarantee that this will be a worthwhile experience and you will be delighted to of completed it.

The official start date is on the 1st of March, and will end on the 10th of April. It is gapped out like this so that you guys can get a chance to get organised and put some structure in place for your nutrition. We then finish up halfway through April leaving us all in a great position to show off all the hard work in the spring.

CrossFit Ireland’s Commitment to you:

  • We will host the nutrition talk in place of the 10am group class each saturday, totaling 7 hours of Nutrition workshops.
  • We have set up a online nutrition forum for you, where you can keep a record of what you are eating on a daily basis.
  • The male and female first place winner will get 2 private coaching sessions with the coach of their choice, valued at €150
  • All the encouragement and support you could need.

We are also looking at organising a exhilarating rock climb on sandstone cliffs in the glaciated Gap of Dunloe with Nathan Kingerlee of Outdoors Ireland and a night out for us all to celebrate our hard work the on 10th April. (price to be confirmed)

What we need from you:

  • A commitment to start and finish this 40 day challenge
  • To keep a food diary, honestly. We all fall off the wagon, but that does not mean we should give up
  • To take 3 before pictures
  • To talk to us about how its all going
  • To share your recipes and let us know about those crazy cheat meals.
  • To take 3 after pictures to compare.

A note on the pictures:

  • These pictures are vitally important to your success, they hold you accountable for your actions and will show you the transformation you have made.
  • These pictures are private, and will only be seen by the owner and judges.
  • These pictures will be taken on the premises in the same light and within two days of the start and end date of your challenge to facilitate peoples schedules. We want people to be as comfortable as possible with these pictures so if you have a suggestion as to how you would like this done please let us know.
