  1. Thanks for choosing such a flattering profile pic for me, Colm!

That’ll be me at the invitational, drinking a beer between metcons!!!

  2. Thanks Lisa, went looking for it yesterday evening after CFI and my internet was down so couldn’t find it. Want to get a program to download all the clips.

  3. Patrick, thanks for the reassurance!

You must be delighted with the welcome back – FRAN!!!

  4. That’s my way of hiding my pain face.
I was deep in the pain cave at that stage.
Laughing from some form of delirium.

  5. I’ll be doing an experiment tonight to see what the effects are of sleep deprivation (c.2hrs sleep last night thanks to my 4yr old) on my Fran time/effort ! Reckon its not going to be a positive result !!

  6. This isn’t good for my health. Fran has been occupying my thoughts since yesterday and has since intensified.

  7. Can’t Fran it up tonight, hopefully tomorrow, Guns n Roses tonight…pants to work who wouldn’t let me out early enough to get to CFI.

  8. Interesting Scott. I think we can inherit a bodily ‘frame’ from our parents, but think how we choose to fill that frame is entirely up to us.

  9. Fran done today and I have to admit it was on my mind since yesterday – there was a certain level of fear. The fear was a result of not having done it since May and the fact that I’ve been struggling with the challenge. After a week of tapering into the challenge I’ve been really strict for the last 3 weeks(no diary, no caffeine,no booze, no grains etc – you get the picture) and despite this I feel I never got the energy boost that occurs when your body adjusts. So my WODs have been pretty weak sauce of late and this when it happens starts to play on your mind.

Considering all the above I was happy enough to be within spitting distance of my last attempt. I found my thrusters were much better – due to Will’s extensive mobilty/torture warm up but my pull ups were shockingly crap.

Despite the Challenge being over I’m going to stay diary free and moderately booze free for the foreseeable and see what happens.

After being caffeine free I found the one cup of strong coffee i had today made me Incredibly happy – it was almost emotional.

For those training tonight – good luck – enjoy

  10. For all who were there tonite I must apologise for the amount of “F Bombs” that came out of my mouth tonite. Fran has been haunting me for the past three or so days and tonite she kicked my ass. I am so dissapointed with my efforts tonight it hurts. The only positive thing that I can take out of tonight was I can only improve next time round. Fran fairplay you lived up to the hype again, until next time. By the way well done to everyone else, Roger Rx and Derek legendary time and technique to name but a few.

  11. Another part of the Fran story from today i forgot to mention. Lorna was doing her last set of thrusters, she did 4 and dropped the bar, came back to it, “3 & 2″ was the encouraging calls from myself and Will. She did the 3 and then said mid thruster “I’m not putting this effing thing down again” and busted out the last 2. Legend

  12. One second slower than last time but oddly enough I’m happy. From following KStarrs mobility wods for the past week and Will running through mobility exercises with us before Fran it’s the first time I haven’t had to fight for position on the thruster and it’s constituent parts. It made things a lot easier.
