  1. Anybody got any good cold remedies? Got myself a case of the sniffles. Feckin’ snow!!

  2. yes i hear going out in the snow and rolling in it works wonders Eamonn failing that hot whiskeys

  3. Liked the rowing link today, made me wonder though – if you wanted to improve your rowing (something I desperately need to do) what would be the best way to implement that each day? Do an easy 500m while focusing on technique? A hard 500m? Multiple 500m? 1000m? Any advice?

  4. Vicks first defence is pretty good if you catch the cold in it’s early stages.
    Doesn’t work for flu tho’

  5. Echinacea and tons of vitamin C usually works for me when I have a cold. You need to get the liquid echinacea and not the tablets though.

  6. There was a month or so there awhile back where I did 1:45-50′s on the rower most days as a warmup. That got me more comfortable on the thing. I’ll have to start doing it a few times a week again methinks after wussing out yesterday.

  7. Eve’s right, the old echinacea does lead to winning!

    suggested weight for today’s WOD?

  8. It was 40kg last time. The strict press will stop any mad weights being used.

  9. did Freddie’s revenge today at 70kg in 16:31…4.5 minutes slower than my last time. what a sandbag session

  10. Yesterday, 10 vertical jumps, 10 push-ups, 5 rounds – 1.38
    then 400m swim and 30sec plankx3

    Today, 100 air squats – 2.01
    500m swim, 30 sec plankx3 and 20 tricep dipsx3

I never thought I’d say this, but I miss weights!

  11. Jeez that was a horrible WOD, have suffered that much FML in quiet some time. Soooo, looks like there’ll be a lot of strict pressing in my future. Oh and more rowing…and more squatting…and more bodyweight exercises…and more…just more everything.
