  1. I’d heard about that article alright but I’m going to have to shake some branches in UCD to get a hold of the full text.

Another article preaching some good points is this one:

    http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/91/3/502 (WFS)

Really dying to read it as the abstract finishes with this:

“…. dietary efforts to improve the increasing burden of CVD risk associated with atherogenic dyslipidemia (think of the clogged arteries you see on tv) should primarily emphasize the limitation of refined carbohydrate intakes and a reduction in excess adiposity.”

Admittedly what we all already knew but still, nice to see it turning around in peer-reviewed medicine. If I get a hold of the full articles and if anyone’s interested I’ll post them up.

  2. I’d love to get a look at those Bobby, I’ve access to the UCD journals so even just the details would do!

  3. Hi Guys, any news on the climbing is it still going to take place.

  4. Found it through the UCD system anyway, wouldn’t work last night, maybe I needed to be on campus I’m not sure.

That’s the address for the PDF file anyway. Pixie, I got it by going through the library website and looking up “The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition” and going to the Highwire Journal option, the other two don’t have the most recent year. Worst comes to worst send me on your email address and I’ll send a copy to you.

Same for anyone else, if you want a copy you can PM me your email address on the forum.

  5. That’s great Bobby, I’ll be out in UCD on Friday and I’ll check that out.

In on nights tonight so can’t make it down so with my newly acquired kettlebell and 24″ box I did the following:

    500m run
21 KB swings 21 Box jumps
    500m run
15 KB swings 15 box jumps
    500m run
9 KB swings 9 box jumps

    Time: 12:01

Gotta say running in deep gravel is horrible, it’s like running in sand, after the first run I was absolutely wrecked, good fun though.
