  1. Hey guys and gals,

Hope you are all keeping well.

I’ve been trying to keep up with some of the WODs on site. Don’t always have access to a pull up bar, so wondering what could I substitute ?

At the moment I have been substituting with close grip fully body push ups. Tough, but loving the fact that I can do them ;-)

  2. Hey Sue,

Really there’s no great substitute for pulling. I’d recommend you invest in a doorway pull up bar or some rings and work from there.

  3. Hi Sue-hope all the wedding prep is going well!

I know Eve bought one from http://www.irish-lifting.com before she left for Germany so she would be able to practice them too. They have the doorway ones at the moment for €40.

  4. Hey Sue,

If you are getting a pullup frame off Irish lifting make sure it is the white one. The black one is not as good, you can ask him to drop it into us and collect it from here if thats easier than getting it delivered from work.

In other news, can people that have lifting shoes, Adidas ones let me know if they sized them a particular way. I reckon I am a size ten but dont want to get them delivered the wrong size.

I also wont be using them until I get my hamstrings sorted :-)

  5. Hey Paddy can you check your PM’s on the forum and see if you got a message from me. It appears to be just sitting in my outbox going nowhere.

  6. Thanks guys, have an aul bar at home, nothing in work though if I wana fit in a workout during lunchtime. It’s grand, will just have to try and do more at home as I pass by the bar a lot ;-)

Hope ye all have a good day tomorrow. Off to source some cabbage for the bacon I have for tomorrow :-)

A big THANK YOU to coaches for me being able to do tricep full body push-ups. Just tried them one day and couldn’t belive it ! For me, a good sign of strength.

  7. Tom, I think the Adidas shoes are true-to-size. They’re the same size as I take in Nike trainers for example and in nearly every other pair of shoes I own (a large sample size).

That workout doesn’t look too pleasant. If there’s a pull up bar in the hotel gym I will give it a shot.

  8. Eamonn cheers got your mail, Tom where are you getting the lifting shoes from? Thinking of investing in a pair, Eamonn was telling me he got his from Rogue fitness how do the Adidas ones compare in terms of price & quality?

  9. Tough work out today. Thanks for the support guys, wouldn’t have finished it without y’all.
