Rowing
Cool, this workout should be pretty interesting.
Are you going to fly out the gate Pat or employ that strategy thing you’ve been working on?
I did the workout from garv’s video this morning scaled to 40kg and 36 inch box jump. 3.30 Its a sweet Wod.
40kg was too light for the snatch, i should have gone heavier.
There an “interesting” article on weight training for women in d’Indo. Alas the “Dos and Don’ts” aren’t in the online version. Highlights include “Don’t keep your feet flat on the ground when squatting.” Apparantly it makes your thighs bigger and “not in a good way”. Also he’s “not a fan of heavy weights for girls. It shortens the muscles and ruins the shape of the arms.” Shortened muscles sound like a painful affliction so I’ll be laying off anything over the recommended 1kg for the moment. I certainly won’t be changing any water coolers either.
Oh horse into it eamonn. This strategy may change during the WOD..
Is that the fitness instructors column in the health supplement Louise? I usually quite like that i’m surprised he’s come up with the shortened muscles thing although I did hear that particularly myth before.

Garv thats sweet work well done man!
Jimminey nice! honorable mention!
Good discovery from Pixie. Almond butter!
Dropped by dundrum and picked up a jar in the health shot. having studied the label and doing a little bit of calculations it works out at pretty much exactly 3g per block. also it’s messy stuff so the only way to really calculate how much i was getting out of the jar was to put the jar on the scales and zero it take out a spoonful and if it says, say, “-12g” then you know you’ve taken out 3blocks of fat.
It’d be pretty easy to go overboard with this stuff. i took out a spoonful as suggested by Pixie and it worked out at 16blocks of fat so careful now (down with that sort of thing)
this stuff is also cheap as chips
Actually Louise if you still have that article can you bring it in please?
That article does sound like complete blasphemy
Almond butter is pretty fricken awesome for sure!!
Thumbs up for almond butter, it’s awesome, but as Garvan said above be very careful, so very easy to go overboard with the stuff!
I also think that article sounds like a load of crap, more myths being pushed as fact! Silly stuff!
WOULDN’T BE LIKE THE INDO TO PRINT LIES…THE SHOWER OF $%&@ #
I made a kilogramme of macadamia nut butter once, very easy to do with a half decent food processer. Ate it all in about 2 days. Didn’t bother doing that again.
