  1. Thanks girlies for the cupcakes yesterday, they where gorgeous. We put up our Christmas tree and then sat down and enjoyed them, Yum !

  2. The comments(bizzare as some may be) are worth a read in releation to that qualifiers link Colm posted.

    Colm,
Enjoy Hamleys *ahem* I mean London! (we all know you’re really just going to Hamleys)

  3. Yum those cupcakes were great girls, just had one for my breakfast feeling a nice sugar rush now.

  4. What do you mean by afternoon classes? Would that include the 5pm? I was wondering actually if the 5pm on a Friday is still an essentials class as it didn’t seem to be last week.

  5. By afternoon I’m pretty sure Colm just means the 12 o’clock class, but I’d wait for confirmation from one of our illustrious coaches!

  6. salads aren’t permitted at elite sessions eamonn!

To clarify, the 12 o’clock session is cancelled today,5pm is still go.we’ve got everyone through the essentials for the time being so feel free to pop in at 5.

    Pixie,how was eating chips!

Right,i’m leaving on a let plane, don’t know when i’ll be back again

  7. Chips were awesome, I followed it up with a slice of pecan pie, bloody lovely!

Had a subway for lunch, terrible idea, feel awful now, stupid bread! Now I gotta go to college feeling like shit. I’m thinking this WOD this evening is going to be a disaster!

  8. Hi, I’m a workmate of Pixie and he has talked about little else but crossfit and paleo/zone diet for the last six months. So, I decided it was time to give it a go. I’m a member of a globogym in Enfield and Pixie came down about 5 weeks ago to run through some of the WODs and movements. Up to now all my workouts have had less weight than rx’d but I completed my first rx’d workout today in 42:59. Very slow! The deadlift was very heavy!

  9. Did a nice little work-out at lunchtime;

    1.5km run
10 push ups (need to keep praticing)
    50 Double Unders
    50 air squats
    1.5km run
    26.49

I know, no lifting, but I think you can’t beat an aul aerobic burn every now and then ;-)

    Tired aul legs now.

  10. Bread is the devil. I’ve felt like shit for the past 4 weeks or so because of it. Never eating it again (save burgers) after the hugening weighin.

  11. I was at the gym at 12, warming up and looking at the clock. “Man, this is the quietest lunch-time class ever. Tony must be in hospital or something, because he’s not here”.

Teach me not to read the site before heading down. Still, productive enough session nonetheless.

And the cupcakes were excellent- kudos on the cream / icing topping, there was massive amounts of it, a good design feature. Normally I find that once I’ve eaten all of usually-smaller-amount-of-cream-on-top then the rest of the cupcake seems somewhat humdrum.

  12. LOL at Rory “a good design feature”, very true! Yum Yum!

What is the recipe for the icing? It would go well with lots of chocolate things.

I like the look of this work out. My shoulders are fairy sore from all the flexibility work over the last few days.

  13. Jeff: 19:56 as rx’d
    Eve: 21:55 (35kg)
    Neil: 21:36 as rx’d
    Brian: 14:40 (3 rounds, 32kg kb)
    Pat: 17:01 as rx’d
    Pixie: 17:48 as rx’d
    Grant: 21:43 (60kg)
    Lisa: 23:20 (40kg)

  14. Having just read the games page of the mainsite i was suprised (well not really) by the following http://games2010.crossfit.com/sponsors/progenex-to-sponsor-2010-champions.html (wfs). The winners of next years games will get 25 grand courtesy of progenex which is some super duper protein supplement. Now I was under the impression that all we needed to progress was a good paleo/zone diet and a good crossfit program and the only additions required were fish oil and some micro nutrients. Well apparently i was wrong we all need Progenex which will free us from the shackles of less than stellar performances! Seriously whats next? the 2011 games sponsored by Diet Coke and McDonalds? Are we really that cheap that we’ll promote artifical supplements(and give them centre stage and star billing by the looks of things) because they shell out 50K. For shame tut tut

  15. They were sponsored by “training day” last year. I think all we need are zone bars and molecularly baked bagels to be honest!

  16. Yeh it was only a matter of time. To be fair Tony you are ignoring all the information that they provide for free in and the programming that is available for anyone to use.

They are also a business. They do a excellent jon of providing free stuff and creating a image that it is just a community but that’s not the case. It is a huge business with large costs, I know that from doing the stuff here in Ireland there are costs and numbers that would make your head spin.

I would be surprised if they only stumped up sponsorship money, I would think it cost alot more than that

  17. Hey Hugh, just saw your comment there, good work on attempting your first rx’d workout!
