  1. Davie didn’t give me a weight for this but I’d say 60Kg, lest the Power Cleans become serious upright rows.

  2. Yeah I went with 60kg too, feel like my glutes are gonna fall off. Got 9 full rounds and one round of ten PCs and ten Thrusters. Disappointed

  3. 60kg seems heavy for the thrusters in an AMRAP? Though maybe I’m just not huge enough yet.

  4. I was thinking something similar Eamonn but then again if it’s 60kg it’s not exactly gonna be a 10 rounder!

  5. Did a search on the Strong Island site and from the comments it seems like 6 rounds & 10 power cleans is what someone got for this WOD, that was at 115# or ~52 kg.

  6. Looks tough i agree with Eamonn’s prediction, I would say 50 kg for me if I want more then a half round… Also any plans on a crossfit night out for christmas…

  7. After chatting with Will we decided 45Kg for this. Tony also guilted me into doing this too. A part of me died very quickly on this and I just suffered and stared at the bar for 19 or so minutes.

    Jonny,
Just approved your comment there. Where are you currently training?

  8. I’m training in a LA fitness in Dartry, it’s a pain as they don’t have a lot of equipment for the crossfit style stuff. only a few bars and that but i go first thing in the morning at around 630 so I get it mostly to myself and I can make do.Usually have to sub out ball slams and that.
I’ve been following this and one other site http://www.crossfitfootball.com but i like the stuff here a lot but sometimes add a bit of weight in as I’m a big enough lad, 6’4″ 225lbs. This crossfit stuff is doing wonders for my rugby though.

  9. 9+ rounds is bloody excellent whatever you weigh Jonny, 60kg on this thing would scare the crap out of me.

  10. great article there, i see the PTs in my gym and they’ve clearly found some new exercise on the net then they put all their clients through it that morning, mountain climbers was one of the latest. But I can’t say anything as I have to be nice to them so I can use their Kettle Bells

  12. Hey, thank you very much for trying this out, I love to see people “enjoy” my workouts… I say enjoy loosely. ;) .

I did this workout with a thick bar (2″) and it was horrific. The thrusters weren’t bad at all, but the cleans with a thick bar were absolute hell on the forearms.

Thank you for doing it, glad I could help you all suffer, as we did, a little bit. :)

  13. I got 7 rounds doing this myself with a thick bar, added a whole other level of hell to it… I recommend it.. had to check to see what I got before I posted it.
