Cheeeeesy!! Arnold – ‘Dee most satisfying feeling you can ghet in the gym is De Pump. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that is what we call De Pump’ Hilarious!

Jeff you might want to stick some NWFS tags on that.

  3. Jeff says:

Whats NWFS? Is it the same as Not Safe For Work?

  4. Colm says:

Aye, WFS = Work/Family Safe, NWFS = NOT Work/Family Safe.

  6. Tom Gannon says:

    Hey all,

I met a guy by the name of Reg yesterday that has opened a boxing gym in Sandyford Industrial estate. He is a extremely nice fella and looks to be doing something similar to what we all do in terms of creating a nice environment for all.

I dont know if anyone would be interested in having a look and heading down to try a class out but he said he would be happy to train a group and its always good to try a new sport. He is very friendly and comes highly recommended from a friend of mine who fought at a very competitive back in school days.

If anyone is interested let me know,

    Thanks,

  7. Eamonn says:

I’d be up for that Tom if you manage to get a few people from the gym interested. I thought about taking up boxing when I was younger but never did. Lifes regrets :)

While I’m at it will you be around the gym tonight? Wanna have a chat with you about kettlebells n’ stuff.

  8. eve says:

Totally random question how many zone blocks in pecan nuts? I’ve done tons of google searches but can’t find the info anywhere.

  9. Sue says:

Tom, I’d be into doing some boxing. Did some basic stuff and loved it.

  10. Double D says:

    Tom sounds like fun.

  11. damien says:

id be up for the boxing

  12. Will Walshe says:

Eve – One pecan half is just about one fat block. Close enough for government work, at least.

  13. Louise says:

I was going to say boxing sounds like fun, but I’m not sure if fun is the right word. In any case seeing as it’s right beside me, count me in.

I also like the sound of a clean eating November, but I’ll need to get do some reading on zone/paleo and figure out how they work.

  14. Ruairi says:

Tom, has he got a website?

  15. Tom Gannon says:

Hey great to see so much interest. He does’nt have a website but he seems like the real deal,

Lots of pics of him with boxers from all over the place including Tyson. He fought himself at a high level but loves coaching, I need to firm up times and dates so will put it on the noticeboard in the gym and people can put down their names.

Ruairi, Dave Jones was going to be teaching BJJ in there but as he is going to Monkstown someone else will so maybe a chat with Dave could help you out,

  16. Kyle says:

I’m a day late, but I’d be up for 30 days of Paleo as long as I get a pass for Thanksgiving–pumpkin pie waits for no man.

  17. Kyle says:

Eve, you might want to check out http://www.fitday.com. It’s free to set up an account and they have a huge database of food items.

  18. Ruairi says:

Cool, I think Dave’s new full-time gym is going to be near McCormack’s on Mountown Rd, Monkstown, Tom (incidentally). It’s him and Warriors Muay Thai from Bray.

  19. garv says:
