  1. Watched that video last night well done Hanley once you have the kip perfected your time will fall even further.Some strength there to be lashing through all those pull ups the strict way.

  2. Reading that link there from Paddy and the other link recently by Colm on vitamin D is this something we should be taking as a supplement? I get absolutely shag all sunlight this time of the year. I go to work it’s dark. I get home it’s dark. I’m getting depressed just thinking about it.

  4. I’ve been taking Vit D for a while now, and this could be completely unconnected but I feel my skin and hair have definitively improved, I take it once a day with a zinc supplement. Got it from iherb if anyone is interested.

  5. Pixie how long does it usually take on the shipping on orders from Iherb?If the order is small enough do you avoid customs?

I have just started taking Vitamin D last week actually after reading the articles posted here, doing a little research of my own and realising since I started working in the cube farm that I am getting the least amount of sunlight in my life, unless fluorescent lighting and my computer screen count, which I don’t think they do.

    Paddy: I got some stuff from iHerb recently, delivery takes around 10 days, 5 of those days were processing by iHerb and it took DHL around 5 days to get it from LA to Dublin. Didnt get stung for any customs, dunno how it works either tbh.

    Dale: The Vit D I got are Carlson Labs, Solar D Gems, Vitamin D3, 2,000 IU, 360 soft gels. Might be better ones out there.

  7. As an interesting note from my studies, the only supplement ever endorsed by any doctor who lectured me was Vitamin D, well Iodine too but that’s another story.

    Apparently we get enough sunlight for adequate Vit D production for 2 months out of the year if even that. I usually pop two of those tesco vitamin supplement tablets a day and I’ll agree with Pix that it definitely improves your skin, haven’t noticed my hair getting any better but you never know. I’m not sure of the cost of the iHerb stuff but I guarantee it’s more expensive than my 80c packet of tesco tablets.

  8. Here is the thing i work like most people these days in an office environment no sunlight most of the year now i used to get a load of sun from exercising the horses.
    Since giving up on horses and also rugby my eczema has got quite bad i reckon this is due to lack on sunlight or Vit D so i reckon it is time to either get more sun or and take Vit D allot more.

    Mind you the fish oils have helped my skin massive amounts i believe or maybe that is the exercise in Crossfit either or my eczema has improved a good bit in the last couple months so in this i am quite happy .

  9. Paddy, cheers!! I’m gonna spend a few weeks just swinging on the bar trying to keep my shoulders locked down while still getting my chest thru and see if that helps. It’s very frustrating because I know my flexibility isn’t a problem!!

    And I’m so trying that workout tonight. It’s definitely one that will play to my strengths.

  11. Pixie, I noticed the skin thing too, also my beard is nice and shiny now (I was frightened at first as I thought I was catching the ghey and applying moisturiser in my sleep). Taking about 5000IU per day (now foods capsules, something like eight dollars for 120). This is going against my plan of growing old disgracefully! I haven’t noticed any of the useful properties though.

  12. I like how nobody shared any of this vit D taking until now. Cheaters! Ignorning performance increases for the moment I’m missing out on fabolous hair!

  21. Nice work everyone. Is is too late to add my name to the list for bottled sunshine? – I suspect I won’t see daylight on any weekday between now and March at the earliest.
