  1. Hmmm……..the 150 ish wall balls from yesterdays essentials class looks like good preparation for today!!! My plan is to try to ignore the DOMS I feel giving birth inside my legs at the moment and blag my way through this workout before my legs realise what they’re doing. I can say with absolute certainty that I’ll be getting aquainted with Charlie Murphy later today.

  2. For the people doing todays wod watch the ‘one more rep’ video
    http://games2009.crossfit.com/thegames/event-5.html ;)

I have a bit of runners knee going on at the moment so I’m skipping my what has become a regular Saturday morning 5km trail run. I was considering crossfittin’ instead but this is one time I’m bailing after seeing the wod. Charlie Murphy has been hounding me all week, I’d never survive that wod.

  3. “Most of these are tough with steep inclines and some soft conditions underfoot ”

Soft conditions underfoot, that’s why I contracted runners knee for the first time ever. I landed awkwardly and slightly twisted my knee.

  4. Essentials – 3 x 250m row/10 Box Jumps
    Ciaran – 6:06

Cut off time of 25 minutes
    Sue – 23:51 (9.5Kg/superb depth)
    Jimiiny – 2/8HSS – as rx’d
    Sandbagger – 2/10WB – 25Kg Power Snatches
    Old Val Kilmer – 18:04 as rx’d
Pixie 21:35 as rx’d (form award)
    Jason – 1/17Snatches as rx’d
    Jeff – 2/1HSS (20Kg)
Louise – 20:31 (15Kg) – Doing it on your own with Tony, James and Derrick watching award
    Derrick – 15-12-9 100Kg DL/21-15-9 Box HSPU – 17:55

    Ruairi – DL 125Kg x 5 x 5, Bench – still in progress

  5. Ehh, you didn’t win that award there Double D.

But you’re still my favourite (but don’t tell anyone ;) )

  6. Yeah thanks to Tony and Double D for the coaching through the lifts. 105Kg ain’t that far off!

  7. Your full of olympic lifting milestones this week Colm! did you catch it on video?

  8. Ehm…coaching?
Tony after Colm lifted 95Kg and loaded the bar with 97.5Kg; “97.5 – sure just do 100kg that 95 looked easy”
    Colm; “ok”
Job done(not sure what the fuss is about this coaching lark(LOL))

  9. No video Eamonn, tho we got my failures at 105Kg on it.

Coach, it was 90Kg, and it wasn’t so much what you said, it was the way you said it that made all the difference. I knew that if I didn’t make it you wouldn’t be angry, you’d just be disappointed. And not that I’d let you down per se, but that I’d let myself down.

  10. Ah Tony’s awesome ability to encourage you in a way that only he can, well him and Steven

They look a little surprised and have one of those ah your messing faces,
