If you haven’t already, get your hands on a copy of The Inner Game of Tennis and give it a read. It outlines in a more detailed manner the sorta stuff Phil’s talking about in his article (just shutting up and getting it done).
It’s made me re-think my own training a lot, and the sorta cues I give to others when training with them.
The basic idea is that you learn by observing, just by feeling where everything is and not actually making the conscious effort to correct. And once you do start to get things right, you don’t think about what you’re doing right, just tell yourself you’d like to replicate it.
Very interesting read, and it does a great job of explaining why everything goes so well when you’re on a hot streak, only to fall apart when you try to figure out what you’re doing right and attempt replicate it!!
I suppose Lance Armstrong can’t be great at everything, but he could learn to clean properly

For the Olympic Lifting videos alone, and the fact that you get the entire back catalog, yes it’s worth the €20 or whatever it works out as. For the chance to see me, Will, Ruairi, Pat and Ger mess about up North, surely you’d pay ten times that?

And I think people need to stop ragging on Lance. Someone has convinced a CYCLIST TO LIFT WEIGHTS. He’s not doing “sport-specific” leg extensions. This does not happen, and it shouldn’t be discouraged.
