God damn. must get better at double unders. will be there all night doing this one!

  2. Pixie says:

Yep this one is definitely gonna be hard!!! ;)

  3. Tom Gannon says:

Ah Pixie, the double under lover………….

I wonder how many times they will come up in invitationals and people will still go “aaaaaaaaaaah NO”

  4. Double D says:

Lads, as my deadlift 1RM was 140kg (last time) and 3RM is 130 kg( more recently) I doubt that I could manage 125kg for ten reps any ideas what might be a suitable scaling for today?

  5. Dale says:

man 50 double under’s i can barely do one this is going to be painful

  6. Sue says:

For us that can’t lift ‘large loads over small distances’ ;-) whats the scaling for todays WOD ?

Could we have the scaling posted when things like this come up?

    Thanks.

  7. Will Walshe says:

If someone thought 125kg was kind of heavy, I’d probably give them about 70% of their best deadlift for this workout. Maybe a little more if they were very consistent with their form when fatigued.

(That last part is why we dont post blanket recommendations for scaling, there’s always individual variations)

You’d want a weight where you can get through at least the first round relatively unbroken (9 and 1 would be OK). This is a heavy metcon, not ineffective strength training with no rest periods.

  8. Colm says:

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the offers. Tony I’ll take that DVD player. Dale I’ll take that TV if that’s okay?

Further to this, I’m also looking for the following:
    Bedside lamp
    iPhone
    Latte Machine
    Aston Martin
    Persian Rug
    Pez Dispenser.

    Anyone? :P

  9. Kyle says:

I’ve got at least three items off of that list but I’m not sure if it would be worth it with the shipping costs and all.

  11. Padraic says:

1 Hour spinning.. then scaled WOD… 7:08( 75 Kg/TJ)… followed by general technique work on cleans and front squat.. not ideal i know but bein back in the matrix is very different.. the skippin rope they had in the ”weights room” was so short i did one single under and pretty much tripped over it.. lets just say there’ll be words with management!!!

  12. Pixie says:

Pixie – 7:36 as rx’d (think that was the time, though I’m not 100%)

  13. Double D says:

Lads, a minor correction my OHS was 40kg.Cheers
