  1. Video of “Fran” posted on board.ie by Pearse Stokes (fianna) with tag line “Who wants to be able to do this before christmas?”

  2. Initially read/heard about Crossfit on the Fitness forum on boards.ie, then followed a link to the crossfit ireland site. I had been looking to join a gym at the time to get back into shape to play some rugby for this season. I emailed asking about classes and when to call down. Next thing myself and Lisa were out Tallaght direction and calling into Crossfit… That was on a Tuesday if I recall and we started training in the essentials on the Thursday. It was the beginning of something beautiful.

  3. A spoon! Of course! It seems so obvious now.

I heard about CF through Captain Steve who told me a bunch of firefighters he knew were trying this new thing and getting in really sick shape.

  4. Heh, I was slightly sleepy when Colm sprang on me with a camera on Saturday morning, I’m not sure where spoon came from. To clarify I use a whisk and sometimes a fork to make my scrambled eggs.

I came across Crossfit while looking for MMA clubs in Dublin, I noticed Colm posting on boards.ie on the MMA forum and followed the link from his sig, after two weeks or so of reading the website I emailed Colm and well the rest is history! Will never look back.

  6. First heard about CrossFit from one of my friend from home who joined the US Marines, he was home for new years and spent a while trying to explain it to me! Forgot about it for a while until i wandered onto the CrossFit website, read the’What is fitness’ article in the CrossFit Journal and was sold by the mere concept, not to mention the insanely inspirational wod videos posted on the site.
I eventually found out that there was one in Ireland, not only was there one in Ireland…It was in Dublin!! After much procrastination (or maybe it was intimidation) i emailed, called down and was hooked, loving every second of it!!!
