  1. Folks,

Mentioned this last night in the gym, we get the odd discount through work and this one might be of interest

    http://www.converse.ie/shop/

Use the voucher code ‘GSIE20Q309′ at the check out and I think it’s 20% off and free delivery.

And no I don’t work for converse!

  2. Hey Tom, I’m going to go ahead with getting those kettlebells. As below. Let me know what the craic is.

    1×12, 2×16, 1×24, 1×32

In Soviet Russia kettlebell swings you!

  3. Eamonn,
Tell me you want a 12Kg KB to use as a door stop or a paper weight in work.

  4. The 12kg is for throwing at people I don’t like… ok it’s not. It’s for my sister to learn swings on before the 16kg. She can do presses and what not with it after that.

Actually throwing the 12kg as far as I can down my back garden might be fun.

  5. I second Tony here. A 12kg krazyball probably won’t be much use to ya. I’d imagine if you can snatch the 16 for a good few minutes without stopping there’s no need for a 12 unless ya plan on juggling the thing or using it as an earring. Now, someone who actually knows something might be able to correct me on that.
2×16 should be some good craic though

  6. The 24 will be the main implement of choice to start with. Last time I checked I was a weak performer on the 32 so I’ll have to work up to it.

I could have just got 1×16 for the sister but I thought while I was at it I’d get the two of em so I could try out some of those two kb exercise varients. Should be good craic alright.

  7. The 32 has a strange ability to suck the life out of you. It is an evil creation.

  8. I wanna get me one of those 48kg monstrosities. Swinging a pair of 24s isn’t quite the same….

  9. There’s a video somewhere on the intertubes of Federenko doing jerks with a 90kg bell. Tactical as hell it is.
