Good god what type of sadistic torture is this workout? Did you have a bad weekend or something Colm?
As a Northsider I use the M50 to get to Crossfit anyone reckon it will be heavy with traffic later with Real Madrid playing Rovers at 8? Is Rovers stadium near Greenhills rd?

- Natalie Woolfolk was one of our coaches this weekend. She competed in Beijing last year, snatching 97Kg and clean & jerking 114Kg in the 62Kg class.
Ah yes. And I felt like a monster cleaning 75kg the other night…
Nice video, I’d say it was a good weekend, I was expecting some oly stuff tonight, not this shite.
Paddy,
I don’t know about the traffic, but even at that I’d say you’ll be fine to reach us. This workout is known as a grinder or chipper workout, one in which you just have to chip away at each exercise until they’re done.
We generally only throw out 20+ minute workouts every couple of months, and so I decided to throw this out today.
Natalie rocks!!!!
“She competed in Beijing last year, snatching 97Kg and clean & jerking 114Kg in the 62Kg class”
Holy crap, that is just ridiculous. I best get working on my front squats.
Nice picture of the Big Shane there with what also appears to be a ridiculous weight.
And to round it off what a ridiculous WOD today. It’s gonna kick my ass so bad after the past two weeks of abuse.
Hey all,
Meteor are running a ‘On Yer Bike’ charity event this friday. The format is that you enter a team of 4 and each of you cycle as far as you can in 15 minutes. The plan is that total distance covered by all the teams will equal the distance from mizen head to malin head.
The Event is in aid of Barnardos the children’s charity. http://www.barnardos.ie/. So if anyone can throw me a few quid for it this week I would be muchas gracias.
My team is aptly named ‘Ride it Like You Stole It’. Maybe I should draft Bobby in?
Cheers, Eamonn.
Paddy, living up the road from Shamrock Rovers I’d say the place will be mental with loads of gardai and body-guards, since Ronaldo alone has 4
What I’d probably do is not take the Tallaght exit off the M50, but maybe the one before. It could be fine if people use the Luas which is literally across the road, but it is very hard to know.
Paddy I’d say your best bet is to get off at the Red Cow turn off and then drive down the belgard road, hopefully not too many people will be going that route.
Cheers for the info lads, fingers crossed somebody from Rovers becomes famous tonight & injures Ronaldo!
Former Olympic Weight-lifter from UK does King Kong at age 44.

Now the ROM is off on most things and I don’t think those muscleups are legit but the way he hoofs 500lbs off the ground in the deadlift and 275 pounds in the clean is damn impressive. It’s a pity he didn’t do it with full ROM as he would have been around Josh Everetts time probably quicker but with heavier weights.
What happened to the 12 class? I’m guessing automobile trouble?
Stephen, myself and Rob waited around for 10 mins and when we realised that we were the orphaned children of the gym decided to do something anyway.
warm up; 800m
WOD 5 press ups, 10 sit ups, 15 squats
21 rounds, perform one round at the start of each minute.
Really, really sorry about that guys, couldn’t make it today. I tried to ring you at 12 to let you know Tony, but didn’t get through.
You guys are getting CF t-shirts from me as an apology.
It’s Ok Will, you’re forgiven. Stephen just wanted it advertised that we DID NOT dodge the Fifty.
Yes I was really really looking forward to the filthy fifty! Very dissapointed not to get the chance. Maybe next time. Good luck tonight lads
sounds like elaborate Fifty dodging to me.
by the way my dog ate my trainers and when i went to buy a new pair the car wouldn’t start and is blocking in my motorbike.should be ok by tomorrow.
Damien,
To stop your comments being caught in the spam filter, just put in your email address when posting. I’m fairly sure your browser can remember it as well.
Oh, and I expect to see you at 6pm young man!
He damn well better be down at 6. I don’t want to be doing this thing on my own otherwise Will’s attention will be sorely focused on myself. I don’t think I can handle nearly an hour or however long this flippin’ thing will take of “c’mon eamonn, pick up the pace!” What the pace needs to do is slow down to my level.
Well, I am aiming for the 7pm class tonight. Hopefully, I won’t be on my tod either !
I’m working today but hopefully I can make the 8 o’clock class!
Tommy – 40 x 5 back, 9,8,7 strict pull ups
Tom B – 49:20 (no double unders)
Peanuts – 37:25

Big Shane – 36:18

Paddy – 29:55 (terribly thirty; tuck jumps, high squatted wall balls)
Sophia – 29:40 (terribly thirty, 20″ box, 4Kg Ball, 7Kg)
Ames – 1:07:20 (that’s right, 1 hour, 7 minutes, 20 seconds; 4Kg wall ball, 20″ box, sit ups)
Ames,
That’s really savage, heroic work there. Talk about a chipper!
Nice work Ames, I thought noone would ever go through something worse than my 59 minute effort back in January. Well done on keeping going!
Thanks guys. Have to say, there was some seriously savage coaching involved – it got to a point halfway through the burpees where Colm started with “This one’s for Paul O’Connell… This one’s for Ronan O’Gara… Brian O’Driscoll… Luke Fitzgerald…” When he started running out of rugby players it was back to Paul O’Connell for the last few and Col started doing burpees with me
Full credit to Colm, Will, Pixie and Mam for sticking it out with me. Would still be on the double unders otherwise!!
Fair play Ames for finishing that thing, that WOD was created by Satan
Well done Ames, in keeping going to the bitter end
