press 5×5 – 50-55-57.5-57.5(3) hurt my shoulder a bit, started swaying a bit so moved on

The events for the CrossFit games are quality. The rowing and stake hammering one is pretty cool, as is the sandbag sprint to the top of the hill.
I can still see Mikko doing very well in these, the deadlift one might hold him back slightly though probably not very much as the chap can pull 230kg…
stake hammering that easy i do that all the time on the farm
Has Dale been secretly doing the CF Games WoDs all this week?
Dale is secretly Mikko Salo
I reckon Josh Everett will be placed pretty well after day 1. I’d imagine him finishing near the top of events 2 and 3. If those are heavy snatches in event 5 he’ll be up there as well.
On event 1 the guy has a 5 minute mile so he’s not exactly a slouch. He’ll finish high enough here not too hurt him too much. This is all assuming he doesn’t fly out of the gate on the run like he did last year and wreck himself. He’s not one for low intensity.
4′ stake hammer? Sounds oddly like something I will be doing tomorrow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUUTXmo6lJE (WFS)
In the continuing spirit of telling you people what to expect, tomorrow’s workout will be to pick something you did in Mar/Apr and repeat it.
Hmmm given saturday’s shenanigans, I reckon sunday’s games event will be “dig yer grave for time”. Yeouch!
Following a moderately successful tabata workout (with Jeff, who really thinks tabatas are awesome) went home and had a cold shower … couldn’t be bothered waiting for the water to warm up.
What think ye of this whole cold water therapy business?

Will, what do you mean “you people”?
Jeff: 56-48-67-120
Ruairi – 60-52-78-125
Stephen – 30-51-69-80
Bobby – 68-55-84-135
Tom – 70-57-83-104
Brian – 59-62-55-59 (ring rows)
Marianne – 83-99-89-72 (ring rows, cat push ups)
Kinsella – 18-55-445-73 (green band,knee push ups)
What do you mean, “you people”?
My squat score is actually 135 not 125. And Will I agree, I hate those people….
You sure? I said 125 up at CrossFit to you? We can check in the morrow if I added them up wrong.
Yeah I’m sure, I’ve a photo of the scores, my first round was 20 but looks like a ten in your handwriting, I think that was the problem.
I never dropped below 15 reps in any set, doing 15 across would give you 120 and nearly all of my sets were well above 15 so it didn’t make sense that I had only 125. I wasn’t exactly thinking dead-straight at the gym, my legs were trying to make me get sick so I wasn’t too with it. Don’t worry about it, I only mentioned it for when I look back the next time we do it.
Edited for you now dude.
Please accept our deepest apologies and we hope that you continue to use CrossFit Ireland for all your fitness, health and performance needs.
I’ll think about it. You people are a bit weird.
