  1. I subscribed to the Journal today due to the boredom of waiting around at home for my hangover to go away (it still hasn’t by the way). Should have subscribed sooner, fantastic resource altogether. I’ve got a few articles on my PC anyway but there’s so many more that I didn’t know about. I’ll put my recommendation in for tomorrow now after I got a look at one of Glassman’s old testing protocols.

    Front Squat 5-5-5

    then

    For Time:

    Run 800m
    21 35kg Thrusters
    21 Pull-ups

  2. +1 on subscribing to the CrossFit Journal, have been a subscriber for about a year now, it’s a fantastic resource.

I’m gonna throw my workout from today in to the ring:

    100 pushups, 100 Sit ups, 100 Air Squats & 100 Double Unders

  3. Ya I signed up to the journal in Janurary due to boredom also when I had gotten the flu. There’s either an article or video up every day plus you get access to the archives. Best 20 quid I spent this year. I particulary like the olympic lifting vids. They fire my ass up.

I like your choice for tuesday better than what I had in my head so I’ll go with that unless someone makes up something better.

  4. The journal was amazing value back in the days when it was just 12 pdf documents mailed to you each year. The current format where you get complete access to the entire archives and new content every day for the same $25 is just effing ridiculous.

I can’t believe there are people who don’t subscribe to it.

  5. No extra charge for awesomeness,my idea for work out 200m 50 squats,200m 40squats……..200m 10 squats, for time.Colm I may have to claim a hangover day due to lack off sleep if I am down today will have to see.

  6. Cheers Ruairi, the original called for L-Pullups instead but we’d lose the metcon effect pretty quick with that I’d reckon.

Derrick that WOD sounds like all kinds of awful, have you ever done a WOD with running followed by squats followed by running? I have and don’t plan to ever do one again!

  7. I liked that double quarter pounder I got yesterday so much I got two of them today. Took one of the buns out and put one on top of the other. It’s bigger than I thought it would be but a eating a full pound of flesh makes me feel supremely awesome!

  8. Nice work Eamonn. Wash one of those down with a litre of milk next time.

  9. double Q.P are damn good. You should go to Ricks on dame street. They do some fairly huge burgers (I think, was hammered the last time I was in there.). The best ones are the ones you make at home though, don’t be afraid to use many different kinds of meat at once and if it turns out to be larger than your face, then that is a good thing.

  10. I happened to wash it down with a pint of a milk but I’ll double my rations on that front the next time. Awesomness.

  11. Any chance we could do ‘Crossfit Total’ on wednesday or thursday?

  12. I vote thursday If we do as it looks like I’m out of commission this Wednesday with work. Would be nice to see how close (or not) I am to my CFT meet goals.

  13. Deirdre – 11:45 (17Kg/Push Ups/Sit Ups)
    Sofia – 10:20 (RDL/PU/SU)
    Paddy – 10:24 (60Kg/PU/SU)
    John – 13:11 (60Kg/PU/SU)
    Pixie – 14:46 (PU/Knees to armpits)
    Bobby – 7 rounds, 3 dips as rx’d
    Stephen – 6 rounds as rx’d
    Dan – 4 rounds, 2 dips (80Kg/high knees)
    Robbie – 7 rounds, 1 deadlift as rx’d
    Peanuts – 6 rounds, 1 ring dip as rx’d
Damien – 6 rounds, 2 deadlifts (blue band)
    Peter – 6 rounds, 3 KTE (80Kg/knees to triceps)
Marianne – 7 rounds, 3 ring push ups (40Kg/ring push ups/knees as high as possible)

  14. I second the motion for a total on Thursday, I’m taking wednesdays as my rest days from now on. Plus I’ve never done a total. All bullshitting aside it’d be a good idea. I’d really appreciate it like. . . . *Finger point*
