Thanks so much for your warm welcolm to CrossFit Ireland. Tom really enjoyed the intro to deads and presses, and I enjoyed grappling with “the bear” (well, maybe “enjoyed” is not the right word, but . . .). Hope the Ireland affiliate keeps growing strong, and I really hope I can come back to visit again some day.

The great thing about the time difference is that i always get to post first. It’s like a nice clean slate provided for my whimsy every day.
So today was the first day of class for intro to Firefighting and I wore my CFI sweatshirt. The guy behind me says, ‘hey you do crossfit? it’s awesome’ he then goes on to tell me he just did Murph yesterday at 35 minutes. As that’s a full 10 minutes better than my best, i took an instant disliking to him. Luckily he’s a nice enough guy that I came around eventually.
Then we are going around the room introducing ourselves and when I stand up the instructor says, ‘hey crossfit! and all the way from ireland? Cool.’ I have finally reached the celebrity status that has eluded me all these years.
Congratulations Kyle. I clearly need to move to America where I will be fully appreciated.
It was good getting back down after my forced time out. Looking forward to building back up the strength that is clearly lacking at the moment.
You could do with Irishing up your name for the full effect… what about ‘Kyle O’Marsden’?
And all it took was a CrossFit Ireland hoody. I should wear mine around more often…

Cheers Tony, yeah was really happy with that WOD, twas definitely a struggle especially rounds 4 and 5 but I loved it, think everyone enjoyed my roid rage at around round 4 mark!
