  1. Love this article ;-) It brings back memories of the strange looks I would get in the gym from girls ! when lifting the heavier dumbbells.
    I was only mentioning the other day I’d love to head to a gym somewhere and mosey on down to the weight section. Just might, when I can lift ridiculous weights :-)

  2. Nice article, both my sister’s were full of all those myths but I’ve been slowly convincing them over the past few months to the benefits of heavy lifting & high intensity exercise. Really though only after they saw how my run times improved with next to no running did they start paying any real attention to me. It was their idea to buy kettlebells and they want me to build a gym at my parents house now and show them how to lift properly.

  4. That lies article is pretty cool, I still struggle to convince people (males and females) that lifting weights will not make you huge. I typically use myself as case and point;

    “I’ve lifted weights for a bit over a year, am I huge?”

    I’m really hoping that someday someone will say yes but alas, that day has not come.
