    Quiet today. Everybody okay?

  2. Dale says:

Back to work blues i reckon

  3. Eamonn says:

I’m not okay! my hands are in bits!! bloody pullups!!! at least I can use them to scare little children or something.

  4. Eamonn says:

okay so, a question. Dairy does not seem to fit in with Paelo eating..but is it all that bad? I’ve been eating more cheese lately to replace some of the milk I stopped drinking buckets load of since finishing SS. It’s got the (saturated) fats, protein but not the carbs. Sounds reasonably decent to me.

I was on http://www.thepaleodiet.com/ though the other day and saw a few comments here and there about saturated fat clogging arteries etc. I thought that has been debunked? Don’t take my cheese away from me.

  5. Ed says:

Cordain doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of saturated fat for some reason…

  6. Will Walshe says:

Mostly becuase there aren’t a lot of saturated fats in wild meat. Mr Wolf had a few things to say about this not long ago: http://robbwolf.com/?p=423

Anyhoo, dairy in the states is different to dairy in Ireland. It’s bloody hard to find grassfed dairy across the pond, whereas it’s the norm over here. Milk from cows that have been eating grass (cow paleo) is a hell of a lot more benign than milk from cows that have been force-fed grain, growth hormones and antibiotics their whole lives.

If you find yourself occasionally waking up with the sniffles it might be worth cutting out dairy produce for a month or 2 to see what happens, but it’s hard to justify avoiding it completely if you’re currently fit, healthy and ticking over nicely with moderate amounts of the stuff in you diet.

  7. Bobby says:

I’m okay Colm. I just trying to figure out why Tom likes to ride women who look like men.

  8. Bobby says:

    Just watched that Isabel video:

    http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_JoshEverettIsabel.wmv

Thats properly bananas. I mean thats 60kg that man is throwing around. He made lighter work of that 60kg than I could make of the bar alone. It’s truly scary the difference between top level CrossFitters and us plebs. And here I was thinking I was the shit with my sub 10 Fran.

  9. Colm says:

Of course Josh is just doing that to impress us.

Guys, can we stop referencing that video on the comments please. For anyone else who wants to know what the heck Tom & Bobby are harping on about, Bobby will post it in his training log.

  10. Bobby says:

Pah, he’s not impressive. Let me see him do a 13 round Cindy in Deer Park while wearing a pair of outrageously flowery shorts.

When he does that he’ll be “impressive”.

  11. Dale says:

in fairness vid is pretty impressive , but i’ll get there in about 20 years or so maybe , are we only doing snatch tonight or is there anything else involved ?

  12. Will Walshe says:

Dale – As per official Crossfit Ireland Policy, Bobby seems to be peppering the place with as many impenetrable in-jokes as he can think of in each post. The definiton of impressive was recently changed to apply only to what he gets up to in Deer Park, you see.

But yes, we’re just gonna be going after some heavy snatches today. Light weight!

  13. Dale says:

Cool Will , as for Bobby ill think of something and comment later :P

  14. Ed says:

So Bobby hunts women that look like men in an impressive fashion at night in a park? That’s what I get from the above comments anyway.

  15. Ed says:

Right so I’m getting an image of a guy with a balaclava, a stick, some black bags and flowery shorts doing pullups in the dark.

  16. Pixie says:

I’m on nights so am only just up in the last hour or two, shift work sucks I have to say. In the process of overhauling the ol diet a bit, I got lazy in the last few weeks with the shift work, but reading Robb Wolfs blog, the above paleo video and reading through CFSCC Eat This! blog (here http://cfscceat.blogspot.com/ for anyone that’s interested) have inspired me to get back on the horse, well that and the 3 stone of extra Pixie that I don’t need to be carrying around! Will hopefully try and make it down tomorrow after I’m finished nights.

  17. Sue says:

    Heys guys,
Stuck at home this eve, unhappy! Woke up with bad back. Just as the bad knees where subsiding. Life can be very unfair to those that exercise :-(

Also, after so much chocolate at the weekend, I feel like crap ! Not use to soo much sugar. Won’t be doing that again !

Anyhoo ! I’ll stop doing the girly whinge and fingers crossed I can so some exercise tomorrow.

  18. Will Walshe says:

Yakers Sue, I hope the re-adjustment was worth it!

    Jeff: 27.5kg
    Stephen: 42.5kg
