  1. I have to say I’m getting a little tired of all of the PW’s I’m setting over here.

It’s hard to blame a significant drop in 5RM squating on the altitude.

  2. Dude, I’ve been having the same problem. Maybe we need each other for the competition element. It’s not the same without you coming over and using one of my worksets as a warm-up.

Ah, the dreaded knees to elbows. Looks like I’m aiming for 10 rounds tonight.

  3. Bobby..in answer to your question from yesterday. They are about 145 euros give or take inc delivery. Bit pricey I guess but they seem to be highly recommended from researching a few forums.

  4. Colm – Good work on setting up the Training Log forum. I havent really used one before, but from what others tell me its a great way of keeping focused on your goals and staying motivated. Thanks!

  5. I cant get into the training log,

“Please ensure both the install/ and contrib/ directories are deleted”

Thanks for setting it up, its really a cool idea to keep track of where you are training wise,

  6. Nobody else sore from those press ups on monday, was fine yesterday, sore and stiff today.

  7. Tom, I’m getting the same message so don’t worry, its not some elaborate way for Colm to keep you off the training log. Unless its an elaborate trap to keep both of us out.

Eamonn, that isn’t much of a difference to the proper cost of the ones I bought (15-20 euros maybe), I got them on special offer so I was lucky. We can have a shoe-off when they arrive. See which one makes the best stamp, which one makes you look most badass etc.

  8. hey all,

Not at home atm, so can’t remove the files. Teething problems I assure you, will sort it out laters

  9. It’ll be a preliminary event to you and Jeff’s deathmatch, get the crowd going and such.

  10. Training log thing ain’t working for me either. I spend way too much time on the internet anyway.

  11. Yeah, we’re the undercard. So far it seems to be:

1: Paul and Myself as the undercard

Halftime show of Eamonn and I having a shoe-off

2: You and Jeff battling it out.

This all stems from Paul forfeiting an earlier competition with me and how he doesn’t recognise this as a loss. Plus I whipped him at thrusters the other day.

  12. So I’ve been reading on some dude’s blog about the wonders of bone marrow. Enough so, in fact, that I’m curious enough to give it a shot. Anybody ever ventured this far down the paleo path that would like to share their experience?

  13. Send me a link will you Kyle, bone marrow, I have trouble not eating Cadbury’s Whole nut and dairy milks for lunch but I am always interested in this stuff

  14. Ages ago I read an excellent book called ‘Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the culinary underbelly’ by Anthony Bourdain. He’s a New York chef, the kind that trashes hotel rooms and throws customers out if they ask for a steak well done.

Anyway- he maintains that bone marrow is his number one comfort food, and would be his last meal if he were on death row…

Kyle, is the healthy approach to bone marrow somewhat less fun than this recipe- what does it involve?

  15. Hey Colm,

Not sure if you got mine and Deirdre’s scores last night.

    Deirdre – 60kg-70kg-85kg
    Sue – 35kg – 40kg – 45kg

All going well see you this evening, even though you have my most hated exercise – OHS :-(

  16. Thanks Sue!

    Ruairi: 130-130-130; 9 rounds, 2 box jumps

My bad, lack of equipment considerations meant it was too tricky to do this with 9 people, so Jeff decided a nice bottom-to-bottom tabata squat was in order. Ouch!

    Deirdre: 60-70-85; 14-14-10-13-11-11-14-14
    Jeff: 100-110-110;18-15-17-17-13-12-12-12
    Rob: 80-80-80; 18-17-12-11-13-13-13-8
    Robbie: 80-85-85; 15-14-13-13-12-9-10-8-9
    Shane 1.0: 80-90-100; 18-17-11-10-9-9-9-11
    Sue: 35-40-45; 14-14-12-13-10-13-4?-13
    Tom: 80-80-80; 16-13-13-12-9-10-8-9
    Big Shane: 100-110; 18-15-12-14-14-13-12-14

  17. So I am 26 squats behind Jeff, 90 versus 116 and 30kg’s shy on a deadlift,

supersweetgirl22@xnyzx.com who keeps offering me and my spam filter Viagra and any other drug known to man at knockdown prices is getting herself an order I tells ya :)

I forgot to mention last night that I was not in the bottom for the first “rest” its my fault but I am going to blame Rob my spotter for not watching my cheating, (not real cheating I was’nt focused on it)
