Workout of the Day:
Front Lever
5 holds at your stage of the progression. Record total time

then

50 80kg Deadlifts
50 Pull ups

Whenever you put the barbell on the ground you must complete the same amount of reps of pullups before lifting the bar again. e.g. I do 10 deadlifts so I must do 10 pullups before I can do anymore deadlifts and so on.

Post times to comments.

  1. Its gonna be Griptastic!

Anything cooler than an OHS? I dunno, maybe that rock Will made for you.

  2. Tried a mini cindy first thing this morning. I don’t know how many rounds I got, but I do know that I’ve had better ideas in my time.

  3. Charlie Murphy is one hell of a workout!

Knees arent sore like I thought they would be, but it took a good 2 – 3 hours to be able to walk properly again. The same cant be said for John.

  4. It’ll be interestin to see how the rep schemes play out here. 21-15-9-5?

I love those study reports. I Think they’re on a cycle in the newspapers. “Chocolate is good” comes up about every two months or so, as does the red wine thing, antioxidants etc etc.

  5. Thought about that Ed… I was wondering if it wouldn’t be faster to try and do five sets of ten each? Hmmm. We’ll see.

  6. Saw a report on one of those chocolate studies in a newspaper magazine. They looked at the equivalent of eating about 3 squares of that 70% cacoa stuff per week and found some tiny benefit to it.

There was a full page add for a giant box of “antioxidant rich” chocolates on the opposite page.

I thought it was traditional to make your ulterior motives more…ulterior.

  7. Well if you can’t get broader you may as well go with squishier! Although the squishiness factor isn’t really working for me I must admit, I’ve given it a good ten years and I’m not sure it works, I’m gonna try lean muscle-ness factor and do a compare and contrast! :)

  8. I beg to differ:

  9. Ahhhh!

Kyle posted a counter responses of photos of Amy not smiling, and I deleted it!

Kyle, I can only apologise. But you know, maybe she’d be smiling if you made it down to the gym?

  10. I did the metcon too. Think I was 6:57 as RX’d?

(And I did 5 sets of 10 for each exercise, Ed)

  11. Dude. Seriously? That was like 10 minutes of work. Ok, maybe 3, but still. And I had a bunch. Like 6 or 7 to your 1. Strange though, I can’t think of ANY of my other posts being accidently deleted. Ever. Curiouser and Curiouser.

  12. In that case, I submit that you find anyone who trains where there’s more photos of them smiling than frowning/crying/grumpy/angry.

And besides, you said she looks mad in every single picture, I just had to find one example that refutes your claim to disprove it.

    Post amended R*Dawg

  13. I figure I look more serious than cranky. I’m sure some of you have seen me cranky – it’s a whole lot scarier than that!!! :P
