I found this very serious video earlier today:

I pity the fool that might think mr. T is not WFS
“I’ve been pitying fools for 28 years BO, and it’s never personal.”
Said without the faintest hint of irony – what a legend!
That ad is brilliant!
love the part in the interview when he talks about the soccer ad, gets right into it, wonder if he came up with the concept…!
Hero.
Jeebus! That dude doing the push presses in the photo needs to go grow some calves…
Hmmm, I think we’ve just discovered what’s holding back your deadlift William.
Good article. “Evils of undertraining”
It could have been titled “Get up off your arse Pistol and get back to training.”
Been a bit slack lately. Looking forward to silly season being over.
Anyway hope all crossfitters have a nice Christmas
As far as the article goes, I’m in agreement. I think 5 days in 7, whether that’s a 5-on-2-off or 3-on-1-off split should be fundamental if someone is really looking to make progress. No a la carte approach, 5 WODs, a mix of metcons and strength (no dodging overhead squats or rowing or whatever else) … And if someone is going to do that then they might as well try the Zone for 2 weeks as well.
I can see how for some people this seems impractical, what with work or family committments…
However, obviously it’s not a binary choice between going to the gym or else not training at all: There’s no rule against doing a WOD at home.
It helps to have a set of oly weights, a few dumbells and skipping rope, but even without that there’s plenty of workouts that can be cobbled together so you don’t miss out.
http://tabata.sperker.de/ Useful tool, I think I linked to it before.
No a la carte approach??? But then I just wouldn’t be me! Plus I may have to work out for longer than 20 mins and that just doesn’t fly.
Bobby – 8 rounds (stopped at 19:50 so he wouldn’t have to do a 20 minute workout – they’re lucky)
Paul – 8 rounds, 2 power cleans (20″ box)
Eoin – 9 rounds, 1 power clean (subbed 30 single unders)
