  1. How come every post I make, I end up regretting? So I was just reviewing the back flip video from Thur and remembered that was pretty fun and I was pretty close to a back handspring. We’ve been working a lot of gymnastic static strength work lately but is it possible to work in some of the tumbling stuff we went over that day? It’s just fun.

It’s tough with the MMA going on at the same time, of course, just a thought.

  2. My God. This WOD was actually awful. At no point did I actually enjoy doing it. Usually I feel a bit happy during tough WODs but this was just 14 minutes and 13 seconds of pain and misery.

Push jerks were good fun. And I beat Big Shane, which really is my only motivation to go to CrossFit.

  3. A few interesting observations from quick run in Phoenix Park this morning. First, it is bitter, bitter cold today. Even though I had many layers (and of course my hoodie) I was freezing and yet about half of the runners there were wearing shorts and short sleeved shirts. Granted I was doing hill sprints which included rest periods, but still amazed at these folks.

Second there were four guys doing hill sprints across from me doing 20 pushups then sprinting up the hill, which I found interesting. Although (in true CF elitist bravado) the half-range piked movements they were doing were pushups in the same way chicken mcnuggets are chicken. But they were doing them in the mud so I can’t really blame them.

  4. It’s going to be some time before I do my catch-up Fran, but today is my first WOD in about four days.

  5. Sounds like a good workout Ruairi, hope you’re on the mend.

BTW, Jonny from CFNI did a Frindy, Fran immediately followed by Cindy, so you do a Fran, and say you get 5 minutes, you’ve 15 minutes left to do Cindy. Not that’s insane!
