  1. Unfortunately I broke my finger at the weekend so I can’t do anything except run for the next two weeks, which is kind of annoying. Especially since todays looks so fun

  2. Eoghan-

I think if you’ve got the low bar position right on your back squats then you should be able to back squat with a broken finger no problems at all.

  3. I didn’t do anything, I’m still not right from saturday night. 21st parties are bad news.

I had a glance through those studies, frankly I’m not surprised low-carb high-fat diets are as little known as they are. Going off the abstracts of those studies they’re ridiculously badly designed and so will not be accepted by the general scientific community. Its a pity really because the current empirical evidence coming from communities such as CrossFit and some of the other high-intensity workout regimes is really quite positive.

  4. One dejected bunch of CrossFitters tonight. I’m sorry I wasn’t more entertaining and informative and couldn’t lift your spirits this wintery eve. If it’s any consolation, your work effort and attitude lifted mine tonight.

    Eoin: 40-45-50; 7 rounds + 6 (50Kg); 18-10-6-4-4-3 (push ups)
    Deirdre: 22-27-32; 8-5-4-3-3-2 (push ups)
    Kyle: 75-80(2)-80; 8 + 2 (as rx’d); 26-16-12-8-7-7 (push ups)
    Shane 1.0: 55-60-62.5; 5 rounds + 2 (75Kg); 13-6-4-3-4-4 (push ups)
    Pixie: 50-52.5-52.5; 5 rounds + 5 (70Kg); 16-14-12-11-11-13 (squats)
    Big Shane: 40-45-50; 8 rounds + ? (85Kg)

  5. Hmmm I think you’re fairly spot on there Big Shane, we’re definitely going to miss The Kyle, as you say – irreplaceable!

Think the presence of power cleans didn’t help my mood much either, a lot of practice in those needed for my good self.
