  1. A little history on DFTU for the ill informed, lest someone believe we’re a cruel gym that berates those who fail and shuns people with less than perfect technique and superior strength.

One day, Shane H was going for a lift, and getting quite serious about it. One could see the expression of determination in his face, and as he pondered the mammoth weight in front of him it was clear his imagination was running wild, and the weight was already lost in his head.

Coach Colm came along and offered this simple advice – “Don’t Fuck This Up!”. People laughed. The tension was relieved. He made the lift.

  2. That’s a lovely story. :D

And I do look forward to running in the rain. If I complain you all have full permission to slap me silly!

  3. Hey, what’s with everyone stealing my move, anyway?

Oh and in regards to yesterday’s WOD—Ouch.

  4. I still think we need a t-shirt that says “Crossfit Ireland – Wall to wall impenetrable in-jokes”

  5. I’d buy that t-shirt!

Fear not Kyle, try as they might to steal your move, we all know that only you can pull it off ;-)

If it wasn’t for the DFTU t-shirt I’d never have made it through yesterday’s WOD!

  6. Team AM
Matt: 70-80-80, 17:32 (45Kg, limited Rom Pull Ups)
Paul: 70-80-75, 19:26 (45Kg, limited rom Pull Ups)

    Team PM
    Ames: 40-42.5-45, 12:38 (20Kg/Jumping)
    Eamonn: 70-80-80, 11:05 (30Kg/Jumping)
    Kyle, The: 130-135-140, 10:15 as rx’d
    R*Dawg: 130-135-140(some snaking), 9:33 as rx’d
    Pistol: 70-80-90, 12:55 (30Kg/Jumping)

Kick ass work out of The Pistol tonight, really pushed himself well beyond his comfort zone and it showed. It’s great when athletes make that leap being doing a workout and attacking a WOD. Great work amigo!

  7. Thanks man. Was a little disappointed I had to limp outta the last one. Was a lot more determined tonight and even managed a few push ups at the end.
    Thanks again.

Does it excuse my poor choice of movie?
