  1. Hey,

Prob uploading the vids which I can’t fix until tonight.

If nothing else we all have shiny new CF Manchester t-shirts and hoodies.

  2. it looks like i solved my shortness problem in the photo we just need plyo boxs in crossfit ireland

  3. Kempie’s hot water, salt and superglue method of treating torn callouses has been working pretty good.

Manchester has left me really tired, but also redoubled my enthusiasm for CrossFit. Been 100% Paleo since we got back. Only been a few days, but feeling good so far.

  4. Ditto what Rauiri said–well at least about that trip firing me up about CF; not so much on the eating Paleo.

  5. Nice one – looks and sounds like you all had a lot of fun :D

Will – is that an FK.UK beanie upon your bonce??

  6. Yup, flying the flag dude.

These gym invasions are a savage laugh. As I’ve said before, I’ve yet to meet a crossfitter I didn’t immediately like.

  7. Hmmmm,
    40-45-50-55(pr)-50kg.

These were power snatches though. Still a bit wary of dropping down fully. I’ll have to practice this some more.

  8. In hindsight probably still a bit frazzled from Manchester, didn’t feel the first part of this workout at all. I started my worksets at 50kg after warming up and failed straight away! Felt all over the place and dropped it down to the 40s and worked back up. Eventually something in my head ‘switched on’ and I got 50 and 55 reasonably cleanly, and two at 60 before failing.

Probably shouldn’t have chased the weights I was doing in Manchester (around 60) and just accepted that for whatever reason I needed to drop the weight do the skill work.

Superglue stood up to some experimental kipping.

  9. Daniel: 25, 27.5, 30, 32.5, 35 (PR – full squat snatches)
    Jeff: 20, 22.5, 25, 25, 25 (Power Snatches)
    John: 30, 30, 30, 35, 40 (Power Snatches)
    Kyle: 50, 55, 57.5, 60, 62.5(f) (Full Squat Snatches)
    Shane P: 20, 22.5, 25, 22.5, 22.5 (Power Snatches)
    Shane H: 20, 22.5, 25, 25, 25 (Power Snatches)

Good work tonight guys. I know how frustrating trying to get your Oly-Lifts down can be, but remember that this is an entire sport in itself. And if you were to spend any time in an Olympic training centre, you’d only be using a pipe for months on end.

  10. we all need to remember that girl in Manchester who was working on form.

She did not go above 25 kg on the snatch even though she could but for all her snatch efforts her form never broke and each snatch she did was as good as the last and she even had a fan base.
