Working on the eleventh component of fitness eh? Was it an AMRAP shots in 20 minutes? Drink one shot in the first minute, two in the second….? Twenty shots for time. Post time to comments etc.
Has anyone ever actually done Tabata shots for real? I see people reference it occasionally, but I don’t think I’ve ever drank with anyone who could score more than 1 on that. 2 would be seriously impressive.
Wait, are you talking about as many shots as possible in each 20 second round? Or a round of tabata squats then one shot in the 10 second rest (netting 6 shots in 3 minutes). Maybe that’s the next 12 week experiment…
CFHQ style: full 8 intervals, where your score is the lowest number of reps in any particular interval.
So to score 2 you’d need to drink 16 shots in 4 minutes.
You know, eventually they’re going to kick us out of CrossFit.
I dunno, Ed pointed me towards an old Glassman quote today:
“If you watch TV at night, do some pull-ups during every commercial – you’ll get 30 straight. If you drink beer, do fifteen for every beer and thirty for every urination – you’ll get 30 straight (if you’re any good at beer). I’ve seen both of these work.”
Sounds like they’re gonna have to kick him out first.
In the future, I can only hope they recognise us as marrying elite fitness and beer in a way Glassman could not.
Kyle – 4 rounds, 15 SDHP
Ruairi – 4 rounds, 4 Burpees (subbing single unders for double unders, 45 for 15)
Good find on that quote…
Today’s WOD was much tougher than I expected, and I subbed 45 single unders for the 15 double unders (crap at skipping). Only four rounds + 45 SUs and 5 (I think) Burpees.
The ‘If it reads like an easy WOD then it will suck when you do it’ rule applies.
