As Crossfitters, we focus on kinesthetic awareness as we learn movements. It’s learning focused on control and developing a better understanding of how their bodies work and what each component is doing at any one time. In a very real sense, we’re making them “feel” better :)

Ruairi started deadlifting about four or five weeks ago when he started Crossfitting. Yesterday he deadlifted 100Kg.

Note the difference in performance between the 90Kg deadlift and the 100Kg – you see his hips move before the bar, which makes it an inefficient movement. The hips and the bar should lift together.
